Position Summary
Digital and social media content are indispensable and central components when authentically connecting to our fan base, both locally and nationally. We seek a Social Media Content Coordinator with a passion for crafting and publishing captivating content and experience in shooting, producing, and editing video content with social media engagement at its core. This person should possess strong copywriting ability and a deep understanding of pop culture and sports. While the primary platform for this creative output will be Falcons' social media channels, we are looking for an individual whose innovative concepts extend beyond the boundaries of our social platforms. The successful candidate will be attuned to Atlanta's cultural currents and our social audiences, committed to strengthening connections with existing fans, and adept at attracting new fans through engaging content. Above all, we seek an enthusiastic collaborator who aligns with our digital team's culture and pushes the Falcons to new levels.
This dynamic, fast-paced role necessitates versatility and the capacity to contribute to content creation through strategic planning production and real-time execution.
The Social Media Content Coordinator must have a high football acumen and seasoned experience in media. Previous sports experience, multimedia familiarity, and a positive digital footprint are essential for consideration. This position will report to the Atlanta Falcons Manager, Social Media. The Social Media Content Coordinator will also work alongside the Director of Social Media & Influencer and a fully integrated digital communications team.
This role is based at the Atlanta Falcons Facility in Flowery Branch, GA.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ideate, capture, and produce original content and social media short-form concepts that increase viewership rates and drive growth on Atlanta Falcons digital platformsCreate short-form videos for social distribution in a timely manner from studio shows (podcasts, features, etc.), press conferences and live eventsCreate, edit, and post content across social platforms, with a large focus, but not limited to vertical video (YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Snapchat)Create “professional” social memes and content for real-time social content that increase fan and social media engagementMonitor daily social media trends, conversation and engagement focused around the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta, and the NFL and integrate into contentCollaborate with the Falcons digital team to achieve objectives - delivering authentic, measurable content that resonates with our fan baseCollaborate with the Creative Services department to craft successful content development and ensure social media presence is in line with our brand and voicePartner with other members of the integrated organization to craft inspiring and entertaining content and initiatives that delight Falcons fans, ultimately yielding tangible business outcomesProvide real-time platform coverage during live games, practice and team events by writing engaging social copy and creating compelling multimedia contentIdeate and execute social media campaigns related to the brand or sponsorships at a high-performing levelUtilize content performance analytics to gain insights into our audiences and their preferences, enabling the creation of impactful contentInfuse the team with creative, forward-thinking ideas, and efficiently manage deliverables that push the Falcons brand forwardOther duties as assigned by the Social Media ManagerQualifications/Educational Requirements
