Social Media Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

\n

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Content, the Social Media Manager holds a pivotal role in building Viking's online presence on organic social. Collaborating extensively with your fellow Social Content Managers, the Design Team, and the Digital Communities Team among others, this position spearheads the planning, development, execution, publishing, and analytical assessment of social content initiatives for assigned social channels and content pillars, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Threads & YouTube. The Social Content Manager will craft purpose-driven content by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of the brand, business objectives, the product portfolio, customers/guests, and industry best practices.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WOODLAND HILLS, CA. HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE UP TO 3 DAYS PER WEEK.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n\nManage the end-to-end social content process including: \n\nDeveloping and submitting monthly content calendars for assigned content pillars and categories to Sr. Manager, Social Content for feedback and approval\nWriting or providing input on creative briefs and partnering with Copy and Design teams to develop assets for compelling and visually appealing content, including custom graphics, images, videos and reels.\nProviding feedback to creative partners to ensure alignment with Viking's voice, tone, business objectives, and social best practices\nScheduling and publishing content across different social media channels using scheduling tools\nAnalyzing content performance to develop insights and recommendations for future content development and scheduling\n\n\nIdentify UGC opportunities and work with Social Communities team to secure permission to use in future content\nStay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications\nDevelop a strong understanding of the Viking brand and Viking’s customer base to inform content strategy and direction\nCreate a learning agenda for assigned social content pillars and categories to continually improve social content performance\nSeek out social content creative inspiration to share with team and cross-functional partners\n\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

\n\n3+ years demonstrated success managing social content programs and platforms or relevant content marketing experience at an established national or global brand\nExperience using social content publishing and analytics tools such as Khoros Marketing, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or similar\nDeep knowledge of social platform features, algorithms, creative best practices, analytics and KPIs\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot when needed\nStrong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills\nStrong verbal, written, and communication skills\nAbility to learn new tools and processes quickly\nDeep understanding of social media content and platform best practices\nDemonstrates resilience under tight deadlines and shifting priorities\n\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\n\nProactive and resourceful self-starter who can leverage all available resources to consistently improve efficiency\nResponsible for managing the success of project deliverables including the management of people staffed to a project\nBreadth of knowledge about world geography and passion for travel, learning, and world cultures\nFamiliarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, photography basics, and video editing\nEye for design and attention to detail and impeccable QA skills\nCan work effectively through ambiguity and adversity to help build a positive and optimistic working environment\n\n

 EDUCATION:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in marketing, social media, communications, public relations, creative writing, digital design, or relevant field\n\n
