You'll be at the forefront of our digital presence as our Social Media Manager. Your role will include:
• Strategising and Leading: Develop and execute social media strategies for Poundland and Dealz to boost engagement and follower growth.
• Content Management: Oversee the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with our activity plan and brand voice.
• Creative Excellence: Collaborate with internal teams and freelancers to produce high-quality content, including videos, images, and GIFs.
• Community Engagement: Respond to and interact with fans, manage user-generated content, and nurture online advocacy groups like the Poundland Appreciation Society.
• Influencer Collaboration: Build relationships with key influencers to amplify our brand reach.
• Trend Spotting: Identify opportunities in trends and news to enhance our reputation and keep us ahead in the social landscape.
• Analytical Insights: Manage paid social campaigns and evaluate performance to optimise our strategies.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with PR, customer service, and media teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• Proven experience in a social media role, ideally within retail or marketing.
• Proficiency across social platforms, web tools, and analytics.
• Strong content creation skills with an eye for detail and innovation.
• Ability to identify and leverage trends effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work cross-functionally.
