Social Media Manager Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly professional Social Media Manager to join us in either our Lansdowne, VA or Washington, D.C. office. As the Social Media Manager, you are a vital part of the Communications Team. In this role, you will report to the Director of Social Media and Multi-Media Production and are responsible for developing, executing, and continually improving a comprehensive social media program. You will lead social media efforts and will work to inspire engagement on the most consequential issues of the day by activating and growing our social media community across multiple platforms and demonstrating a command of best practices and trends in social media to help achieve our strategic goals and objectives. Your Essential Responsibilities: In this position, you will: + Develop and optimize the ADF social media strategy for channel growth and engagement. + Develop social media strategies that work together to execute multi-channel social media campaigns and increase ADF brand awareness and recognition. + Manage a social media content calendar to inform social media engagement efforts. + Conduct social media listening activities to maintain real-time awareness of influencers and trends that inform ADF’s media and advocacy communication strategies. + Facilitate and engage in relevant social media discussions to represent ADF as a primary resource for our issues among target audiences and key influencers. + Design and execute frequent social media campaigns with excellence, working alongside other creative and marketing teams, vendors, and alliance partners. + On a regular cadence, manage and report on performance metrics and indicators, research data, and analytics to inform strategy and maximize performance and outcomes. + Manage a portion of the social media budget to align with stated social media goals. + Manage social media vendor relationships to maximize paid media initiatives. + Along with the director, serve as an ADF subject matter expert on its social media community, industry and user trends, emerging capabilities, research, and best practices. + Find opportunities in real-time to insert ADF into public discussions and help shape thought on the topic. + Work with the social media, creative, and marketing teams to create content and respond in real time to channel needs and messages. As a Team Leader, you will: + Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing your Team Members. + Foster a spirit of trust and of innovation on your team. + Meet regularly with your Team Members to discuss their progress and complete performance reviews. + Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports. Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential): + You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned. Skills you need to succeed: + Effectively express fundamental values to facilitate strong engagement with and inspire action from multiple social media communities. + Strategize and develop social media campaigns. + Draft professional, timely, accurate, and compelling short-form communication with the ability to transform complex or technical issues into compelling, snackable messages. + Constantly consume news and current events and identify opportunities to advance a mission through effective social media engagement. + Efficiently analyze, identify, and summarize data that inspires content creation and report findings to supervisors and team members. + Proficiency in visual/graphic design and audio/video editing is preferred. Education and experience: + BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. + 5+ years demonstrated success leading a high-performing social media program on behalf of an organization.
