**The School of Dentistry has an outstanding opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join their team.**
The Office of Advancement and External Affairs at the School of Dentistry comprises Alumni Relations, Advancement, Communications, and Continuing Dental Education. The Social Media Manager will produce, manage and oversee social media for the UW School of Dentistry, work on patient recruitment at the School of Dentistry, and write articles for the School’s website and for the Dental Alumni News. They will advance social media goals for all units at the UW School of Dentistry.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Social Media: (75%)
+ Producing, managing and overseeing social media content.
+ Working with the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, and members of the School’s Advancement team, to advance the social media goals of both units.
+ Producing, editing, and posting video.
+ Working closely with the school’s Senior Director of Marketing and Communications to produce and post content designed to improve patient recruitment and retention.
+ Generating detailed monthly analytics reports, using Google and Facebook analytics and software such as Sprinklr or Hootsuite.
+ Optimizing strategies to boost user engagement across all social media platforms.
+ Working with individual school departments and programs to produce content for their own Facebook pages.Writing: (20%)
+ When requested by the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, expanding social media posts into stories for the school’s website or articles for the Dental Alumni News or Panorama digital newsletter.Other: (5%)
+ Other content creation as assigned. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Communication.
+ Two to three years' experience in Communication of related field. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
