The Social Media Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the enterprise social media marketing strategy for ChenMed’s public facing brands by developing tactical plans, ideating story concepts, creating content, and coordinating the distribution of content assets for multiple social channels. The incumbent's objective is to promote ChenMed brands as a leader in primary care for seniors by increasing consumer awareness and preference, driving key company initiatives, as well as engaging and responding to prospects and patients on social platforms.
He/She will immerse themselves in the healthcare industry, as well as social media strategies. They should also stay abreast of issues, trends, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for ChenMed brands.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Independently writes, edits, and produces on-brand, high-quality, engaging short and long-form content, including but not limited to posts, graphics, messages, videos that advance business objectives.
+ Partners with Social Media leadership to develop and plan strategies to promote brand awareness and drive growth through local and enterprise social channels.
+ Independently develops concepts for assets to promote content on social posts which also includes writing effective and concise copy, and story ideation for multiple social accounts.
+ Collaboratively manages social amplification/ambassador program which includes identifying, planning, and preparing content for distribution within social amplification software.
+ Prepares social media reports and insights, which includes downloading metrics from social platforms, preparing monthly report decks, and providing strategic recommendations on performing assets.
+ Uses project management tools to plan and perform the production work of gathering assets from the spreadsheet, submitting them to social media management platform, and scheduling for distribution.
+ Collaboratively manages and maintains the social media calendar, working with the senior manager to identify gaps in the calendar and to control quality of the production process.
+ Ensures prospect engagement, by responding to customers and engaging with them through social messaging: Comments, Page Messaging,
+ Monitors social pages for reputation integrity, which includes escalating negative reviews to the patient relations team to address with more detail before publishing or removal.
+ Moderate comments with social media management tools to ensure community and brand guidelines are adhered to.
+ Performs ad hoc social media request for local centers which includes reviewing, authorizing and scheduling content for distribution on center social pages.
+ Applies universal voice to all communications to ensure all patient and prospect communications are simple and easy to understand.
+ Performs other duties as assigned and modified at the manager’s discretion.
+ Attends daily digital marketing sprint huddle for updates.
+ Attends social media marketing webinars and trainings to learn new strategies and trade-based tools.
+ Reports to Senior Manager, Social Media Marketing.
+ Position is considered hybrid and will mostly be remote but may require the incumbent to be in the office twice a week.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**
+ Must have excellent written skills and the ability to create a variety of content, including videos, curated to the channel and audience.
+ Experience with social media on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
+ Storyteller, editor, strategist, and specialist, who feels equally comfortable editing posts, developing new content ideas and determining distribution strategies.
+ Thrive in fast-paced environments and can roll up his/her sleeves to help support social media initiatives.
+ Take initiative and is self-directed. He/She should also feel comfortable collaborating with multiple leaders.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel (pivot tables, multi-function formulas, and graphs), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software.
+ Spoken and written fluency in English required.
+ Spoken and written fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:**
+ B.S. or B.A. Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, or related field
+ A minimum of 2-years in social media management experience required
+ General understanding of social media marketing principles.
+ Curiosity and high aptitude for learning and experimenting.
+ Experience with design editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, and Canva is preferred but not required.
+ Experience with Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite and LaterGram is preferred but not required
+ Healthcare communication/marketing experience is preferred.
