Social Media Specialist
Job Title: Social Media Specialist Department: MARKETING Reports To: Advertising Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Closing Date: Open Until Filled SUMMARY: Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, creating, and producing images to enhance casino promotions, events, public relations by creating content for social media platforms. This position is responsible for the design and development of creative, innovative and effective and engaging social media content and campaigns with the intent to optimize company pages, social media presence and foster social media interaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: + Build and execute social media strategies, generating and publishing content on various platforms. + Develop social media content plans for various platforms for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook that are consistent with AMCR’s brand identity. + Create consistent content marketing strategies, produce, edit and distribute original content, special content to grow audiences, awareness, and engagement metrics/conversion across multiple platforms. + Develop and oversee for increasing ratings and review traffic through third parties (e.g. Yelp, Trip Advisor, Google, etc.) + Lead insights into digital trends across all areas of multicultural communities and social platforms . + Work closely with departments for social media strategy and creative concepts to promote departmental needs. + Monitor guest’s engagement and interact with guests on social media posts. + Respond to direct messages, online reviews, and AMCR emails in a timely manner. + Responsible for online crisis management with bad reviews and negative social media comments. + Use analytical tools such as Facebook insights and sprout social to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance. + Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends on social media. + Assist in updating website and mobile app. + Assist in developing comprehensive social media strategy to increase visibility and brand recognition. + Responsible for design, copy, layout and production of Marketing Department and AMCR projects. + Manage all efforts in building online reviews and reputation. + Integrate all channels of marketing through social media. + Assist in the completion of assigned projects and prioritize assigned tasks including web development, social media, photography, videography, and signage (when applicable). + Assist in the development and creation of content and social media marketing programs. + Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Assist with casino events when needed as a member of the Marketing Department. + Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing. + Must be able to work a varied schedule, weekends and holidays as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MINIMUM QUAILIFICATIONS: A four-year college degree from an accredited university or college in Communications, Marketing or a related field is required. It is required, that the qualified candidate will have a minimum 1-3 years of experience working with online communities and/or platforms for brands. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of online platforms and their respective participants (forums, blogs, photo uploads, social, etc.) and how they can be deployed is required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to generate reports, develop business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to provide signage solutions for various needs. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is occasional exposure of the associate to noise and cigarette smoke from the casino floor. LICENSING POLICY/BACKGROUND CHECK: All candidates must be 18 years of age when applying.
