Our flagship transitional work program– Ready, Willing & Able– integrates paid work, occupational training, and holistic supportive services to facilitate an individual’s return to mainstream society.

We are currently seeking a Social Services Aide to join our dynamic team at our Gates Avenue facility in Brooklyn.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will have earned a High School Diploma You have at least two years of experience working in a residential setting. You have experience working with the homeless and/or criminal justice population and knowledge of related issues preferred.  You are skilled in MS Office and email. Familiarity with database systems, particularly the DHS CARES system preferred. You must be Fire Guard, Fire Safety, and CPR & First Aid certified.

Key Responsibilities:

The Social Services Aides function as social services paraprofessionals and need to possess the skills to successfully address any problems, issues or crises that might occur. Supervise the security staff during his/her tour of duty to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents. Communicate important clinical information to the staff by documenting details in a log book.  Also responsible for documenting incidents on an incident report and disseminating it to the team. Responsible for collecting random urine samples from residents. Attends all mandatory monthly staff meetings.

The hourly rate for this position is up to $20.23.
