Banyan Global is seeking a Social Service Educator, Prevention, to support the implementation of training and supportive services for the Army Community Service (ACS) Family Advocacy Program (FAP) in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The Army FAP focuses on preventing the onset and recurrence of child and spouse/intimate partner maltreatment, and their associated conditions. The program components include comprehensive community education and training related to the primary risk factors for maltreatment and neglect, to include but not limited to, persons with special needs, persons returning from deployment, persons in financial difficulty, persons newly assigned to, or pending departure from the installation.

 

This role plays a critical part in the successful design, implementation, and continuous improvement of prevention education programs. The Social Service Educator will collaborate with the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Team to provide high-quality training that fosters healthy family relationships and violence prevention. This position is open to qualified applicants in the United States and is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities Identify and prioritize training needs by analyzing risk trends, conducting community needs assessments, and participating in Family Advocacy Committee meetings.Deliver demand-driven and required trainings, including workshops, seminars, and mandatory prevention education courses, to military personnel and their families.Ensure compliance with FAP Accreditation Standards and regulatory guidelines before training sessions.Administer post-training evaluations, satisfaction surveys, and learning outcome assessments.Document and track participant attendance and course completion.Provides supportive services including contract administration task tracking and participation in meetings. Qualifications Associate’s degree in education, social or behavioral science, or related field from an accredited institution.At least two years’ experience in family and children services or community organization, of which at least one year is in family violence or child abuse neglect or maltreatment related services.Personal and/or professional experience with military personnel and military family members.Demonstrated ability to create and present effective, professional PowerPoint training slides.Experience providing customer service to diverse populations in face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic settings.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, TEAMS).Professional writing and speaking skills with fluency in English.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Must pass a childcare background check and FBI fingerprinting.Ability to complete all required government trainings.Strong knowledge of instructional design and principles of both child and adult learning is highly desirable.
