Shift Time: 9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday with weekend rotation

Status: 1.0 FTE

The Social Services Specialist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assisting with treatment planning, group treatment and discharge planning. The Social Services Specialist will assist with the coordination of the referrals and inquiries process. Additionally, he/she is expected to function well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the unit community relations program.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year related clinical experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.

EDUCATION: Bachelors of Social Work required; Graduate from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education preferred. 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Continuing education credits each year required.  BLS Required.
