Social Work Counselor We are seeking a Social Work Counselor for our Project Independence Program in Suffolk County. The Project Independence Program works with foster youth to develop independent living skills. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate! Responsibilities + Develop and facilitate independent living skills workshops. + Provide contacts and supports for foster families to facilitate implementation of independent living skills in the home. + Coordinate service efforts with DSS caseworkers. + Conduct monthly home visits to youth in their foster homes. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in social work, education or related field required. + One-year full-time experience working with adolescents. + Valid and clean driver's license + Basic computer knowledge of MS Office.
