Job Concepts Function of Work: To provide direct-line supervision of subordinate social workers and/or other professional social services counselors for a service delivery program within a facility or region. Plans, organizes and implements various social work services. Coordinates the activities of the program with other units and agencies. Develops goals, program plans, policies/procedures, determines staffing and resource needs for a social work unit. Provides or arranges for training and development activities for subordinates. May provide LCSW supervision to candidates for professional social work certification. Provides expert testimony and advocacy representation on behalf of clients in court cases.
