Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Entry-Level Social Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals and families in overcoming challenges and improving their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others, excellent communication skills, and a basic understanding of social work principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support:Conduct initial assessments of clients to determine their needs, strengths, and goals.Develop individualized care plans and provide direct support and intervention.Assist clients in accessing community resources, such as housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.Provide emotional support and counseling to clients and their families.Case Management:Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including case notes and progress reports.Coordinate with other social services agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care.Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary.Advocacy and Outreach:Advocate for clients' rights and access to services.Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public about available resources and services.Collaborate with community stakeholders to address social issues and improve service delivery.Professional Development:Stay updated on social work best practices and new developments in the field.Attend training sessions and workshops as required.Engage in regular supervision and seek feedback to enhance professional skills.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or related field required.Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred but not required.Licensing:State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a social worker.Valid driver's license may be required, depending on the role.Skills and Abilities:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.Basic knowledge of social work principles, ethics, and community resources.Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.Preferred Experience:Prior experience in a social services or community outreach role (internships or volunteer work are acceptable).Familiarity with case management software and client record systems.
