Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PMStudent Hours: 9:15 AM - 3:15 PMGrade Levels: Early Childhood (EC) through 8th gradeLocation: Arlington Heights, ILCaseload: Support 4-5 classrooms, approximately 20-35 students

In this position, you will:

Play a crucial part in supporting Early Childhood through 8th-grade studentsWork within a single school building with a very team-based approachParticipate in bi-monthly department meetingsEngage with a diverse student population with multiple needs, including Autism and intellectual disabilitiesProvide services through a push-in model within a shared office spaceCollaborate closely with teachers and paraprofessionals in a highly supportive environment

Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary settingImplement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and successAdvocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic)Collaborate with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needsFacilitate IEP meetings and develop interventions to ensure IEP effectivenessAdditional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social WorkLicense eligible in the State of IllinoisPrevious experience in a PreK-8 setting is preferred
