Job Title: Social Worker Location: Windsor Mill MD, Rockville MD
Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. In this non-clinical role, you will work to support individuals, families, and communities by providing resources, advocacy, and program coordination to address social and environmental challenges. This position requires a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland.
Key Responsibilities:Resource Coordination: Connect individuals and families with community resources, including housing, food assistance, employment opportunities, and healthcare services.Advocacy: Advocate for clients to ensure they receive equitable access to necessary services and resources.Education and Outreach: Provide educational workshops, presentations, and outreach activities to promote awareness and access to support programs.Case Management: Maintain detailed case records, monitor client progress, and adjust support plans as needed.Program Development: Collaborate with team members to develop and implement community programs addressing social determinants of health and well-being.Collaboration: Partner with local organizations, government agencies, and service providers to create a network of support for clients.Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and resource navigation for individuals and families facing urgent needs or emergencies.
Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.Current LCSW or LMSW license in the state of Maryland (required).1+ years of experience in a social work role, preferably in a non-clinical or community-based setting.Strong understanding of social systems, community resources, and case management principles.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and using case management software.Commitment to ethical practices and cultural competence.
Preferred Skills:Bilingual or multilingual abilities.Experience in program development and community engagement.Knowledge of local Maryland resources and services.
