Short Description
Prior experience working with child and adolescent populationsCritical thinking skills i.e. Social Worker will review referrals and determine if they are appropriate for our child and adolescent psychiatrist to seeAbility to call patients and do an intake where they discuss the patient's history and potential issues they're experiencingKnowledge of resources in the NJ/PA/DEL, area. Our doctors will connect families to this social worker. The social worker will need to provide resources to families around getting more food, shelter, clothing, utility assistance etc.Knowledge of situations involving the need to call DCP&P/DIFAS and ability to navigate conflict and difficult situationsPreferred but not mandatory experience running Parent/Child Support Groups
Provides assessments, (crisis intervention), social work consultation, referrals, short term
counseling to facilitate discharge planning, and complex discharge planning for patients and
their families.
Functions as a member of the Utilization Management
Experience Required
1-2 years health care experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree (BSW) required
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-CSW – (New Jersey Certified Social Worker).
