Overview We are looking for a Social Worker with Psychiatry experience PRN Position The Social Worker II is responsible for promoting desired patient outcomes by means of identifying emotional, social, or environmental barriers and intervening accordingly. The Social Worker II is responsible for individual patient assessment that encompasses physical, emotional, economic, and social needs. The Social Worker II is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team and actively participates in the development of the plan of care and assists in coordinating/facilitating care elements that involve psychosocial issues identified in assessment. The Social Worker II provides direct counseling services and provides education and referrals for patients and families to various resources and community agencies. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: Master's Degree Preferred Education: Master's Degree from an accredited school with a major in Social Work, Social Services, Social Service Administration, Professional Counseling or closely related human services field. Post-Graduate or doctoral course work,or earned doctoral DSW degree. Necessary Skills: 1. Effective verbal and written communication skills in a fast-paced, stressful setting. 2. Computer literacy to include Windows NT; experience with HBOC/Star systems and/or 3. Microsoft products preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required Experience: 1-2 years - Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or behavioral setting. Preferred Experience: One to two (1-2) years experience in case management or managed care. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Licensure in Florida as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT), and/or Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) preferred.
