Softball Instructor (Part - Time)

Job Summary:
Assist in all activities relating to MLB Youth Academy softball instruction.


Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and implementation of all softball instruction including workouts, camps, clinics, gameplay, etc. Assist the Coordinator, Softball Instruction in selecting players for select teams, showcases, camps, etc. Help to coordinate all softball activities and organize schedules for softball instruction. Help to coordinate, facilitate and organize all softball workouts, camps and clinics. Coach Academy softball teams in workouts and gameplay as necessary. Submit reports to the Coordinator, Softball Instruction as deemed necessary. Perform assigned tasks for special events and programs as directed by Softball Coordinator or Academy Director.


Qualifications and Skills: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience as a player, coach or instructor Organized, efficient and consistent positive communication skills Team player ready to take direction Solid organizational and scheduling skills Possess the ability to organize softball workouts and gameplay Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and computer scheduling programs Able to instruct all facets of softball Travel – 25% local overnight travel expected around All Star and Spring Break events.

Pay Rate: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
