CLICK HERE TO VIEW BENEFITS & PERKS Primary Purpose As a Software Analyst Programmer, you’ll find yourself balancing a mix of troubleshooting, development, account maintenance, and collaboration every day. You’ll work closely with a talented team of Business Analysts, DBAs, and Systems Administrators to manage and improve enterprise software, both on-premise and in the cloud.
Throughout the day, you’ll leverage your technical skills to solve complex problems, all while documenting solutions and ensuring everything aligns with our evolving needs.
Your role will be key to ensuring that our systems work seamlessly, empowering staff and students with the tools they need, and driving improvements that have a direct impact on the college’s success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: You will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students by tracking down system issues, ensure appropriate access to the ERP/SIS system and related software applications, and collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges for the college. You will contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of our ERP system to meet the evolving needs of the college community while keeping it running smoothly and securely. You will develop and manage database objects, views, and reports, supporting data extraction and analysis to drive informed decision-making across the institution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will participate in ongoing projects to incorporate new functionality or systems, or changes into existing systems, ensuring all updates are well-designed, tested and meet the needs of users. You will document system processes and solutions, contribute to process improvements, and take ownership of smaller-scale projects to enhance the efficiency and functionality of the college’s technology infrastructure. Individual is expected to follow all College work rules and policies. Knowledge of relational databases and programming languages, including SQL or PL/SQL. Knowledge of programming principles and best practices. Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to communicate technical and complex information both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Ability to work cooperatively with, and contribute to, a diverse workplace through ideas or experience. Able to develop, write, and debug software or use other tools to work with data and produce reports or other data outcomes. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information technology administration guides, user manuals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Excellent written communication and documentation skills. Experience working with third-party, cloud-based applications. Experience working in a help desk environment. Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, time management and documentation skills. Ability to work with customized role- and class-based user privilege assignment on ERP system. Ergonomic Requirements Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Physical movements involve guiding, feeding materials into proper position. Lifting objects vary daily, ranging from 1lb to over 25lbs. Use of computer screen is required 70% of the work time. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Requirements Education Associate’s Degree in a related technology field or equivalent work experience. Experience Two years of professional work experience using SQL or PL/SQL. One year of professional experience in software programming and development. Experience in creating reports from an Oracle or MS SQL database system, using a report writing application such as Argos, Cognos, or Crystal Reports is a plus.
