Tasks and Qualifications:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design a modular and extendable discrete event simulation modeling frameworkAlign the design with the architecture of warehouse execution software and mechatronics system modularityAlign the design with the configurability of the warehouse execution software and mechatronics modulesEnsure computational efficiency that allows simulation models to run at hundreds of times real-timeDrive the design of dynamic web interfaces and supporting infrastructure for input selection, output analysis, and 3D visualizationEnsure design decisions align with the needs of various user groupsCommunicate design decisions to developers, OR engineers, users, and stakeholdersUtilize and facilitate use of Agile software development methods and structuresInspire and motivate software developers to produce high-quality and user-focused workDesign architecture that assures security and privacy of the data for applications that are sensitive to it.Understand interactions between hardware components and work towards the definition of architecture and block’s interactions design, providing options and/or trade-offs, identifying issues and driving them to resolution.Design architecture and software interfaces that enable a software programming model that can delight our application developers, and allow them to use development accelerators seamlessly and timely.

Requirements:

Required:

Undergraduate degree in software engineering or a related field or equivalent experience5+ years of software architecture experience; Python preferredExperience with Agile software developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to solve problems and think creativelyPassion for creating something new and proactively meeting user needs

Preferred:

Experience developing discrete event simulation modelsExperience in warehousing and supply chainExperience in operations research or industrial engineering
