We are currently seeking an experienced Software Architectin support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).As aSoftware Architect youwill provide high-level engineering support to assigned programs by conducting analyses, trade-off studies, and system engineering planning.
This role involves assessing the adequacy of engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with software architecture standards, and participating in design, testing, and configuration management activities. Additionally, the position will support program development efforts by providing input on planning, integration, and acquisition activities while tracking milestones and ensuring alignment with program objectives.  Responsibilities Perform trade-off studies and system engineering plans. Conduct effectiveness analyses and risk management activities. Manage configuration, interfaces, and data management for assigned programs. Review, assess, and advise on the adequacy of the OEM’s engineering analysis, design, and testing documentation. Ensure compliance with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), including standards like Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA). Maximize use of a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment as applicable to programs. Participate in software and vehicle testing, design analysis, and simulations. Review data deliverables with an understanding of the entire software system across the vehicle. Provide written input on planning and management of software development, integration, and acquisition activities.Qualifications Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.A Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from a college or university.  Total of 5 years experience in development software architecture artifacts for DoD systems including a combination of: Experience in development of U.S. military ground vehicle systems; and Experience in developing and documenting software architectures using Unified Modeling Language. Additional Information
