The Role

If you are interested in cloud development and want to have impact, this is the job for you. We are looking for Software Architect to join our Business Technology Platform Runtime teams. As such you will be working with multiple teams in the organization to help solve complex design and architecture issues in the area of container management of cf applications, scalability, platform evolution towards K8s and other projects that will arise.

 

Responsibilities

Leading the technical evolution of cloud platform components in scope Ensure architectural integrity of solutions Lead or participate in research and Proof of Concept activities that span across multiple technologies and platforms Mentor development teams by delivering quality technical/technology recommendations, proposals, and documentations Keep track of new advances in internal technology areas and propose improvements Mentor and inspire Scrum teams Influence to improve E2E development, testing and operational excellence practices Collaborate with key stakeholders (internal & external) and share / sell the solution that is being proposed Contribute with task, ideas and estimates to planning process Responsible to produce technical designs and communicate them to development team and enable efficient build of the solutions Participate in reviews of software engineers’ code to deliver high quality solutions Provide technical training within the team to ensure continuous knowledge growth

 

Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience as Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer Experience with and an appreciation of the benefits of software engineering practices and design such as: coding standards, agile (scrum) methodologies and test-driven development Proficient in one of the following: Python, Go Java or JavaScript and Node.js as well as other software technologies including Rest/JSON, Postgres, Single Sign-On (SSO), HTML5, Performance Tuning/Profiling, Testing frameworks Excellent communication, negotiations, presentation, organizational, interpersonal, programming, troubleshooting, analytical & problem-solving skills Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-moving and challenging environment

 

The Following Skills Will Be Considered An Advantage

Experience in designing solutions for high performance, scalability and reliability Knowledge/experience in development with one or more of Go, Ruby, Python programing languages Knowledge/experience in build engineering, code quality and continuous delivery using technologies like K8S, OpenShift, Docker, Gradle, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Postgre, Oracle, etc.
