The SOA Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing Service-Oriented Architecture solutions to support business processes. This role requires a strong understanding of SOA principles, experience with middleware solutions, and hands-on skills in technology stacks commonly used for SOA implementation. Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design & Implementation: Design and develop SOA frameworks to support business needs and ensure scalability, flexibility, and integration capability. Define SOA standards, governance policies, and protocols for service creation, reuse, and orchestration. Middleware & Integration: Select and implement middleware solutions to facilitate seamless integration of applications and services. Manage API gateways, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and message brokers to connect applications within an SOA framework. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with development teams, project managers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical SOA solutions. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with network, storage, and security requirements. Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and engineers on best practices for SOA. Establish coding standards, design principles, and best practices for SOA development. Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance, security, and reliability of SOA systems. Implement best practices for load balancing, fault tolerance, and recovery processes. Documentation & Compliance: Create comprehensive documentation for SOA solutions, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and data flows. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, SOX, etc. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in SOA architecture, design, and development. Proficiency in middleware technologies like Oracle SOA Suite, IBM WebSphere, MuleSoft, or Apache Camel. Knowledge of XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, and web services protocols. Strong experience with API management, integration platforms, and microservices. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and cloud-based services is a plus. Skills and Competencies: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
