Position TitleSoftware Asset ManagementRemotePosition Summary / Career Interest:The ITAM Process Owner I is responsible for daily ongoing asset management support as part of an ITAM team. This individual ensures that software licenses, and related processes/procedures adhere to the organizational values, enabling The University of Kansas Hospital System and related entities' to provide the best possible patient care and financial management.
The ITAM Process Owner I takes the primary role in monitoring, reviewing, and ownership of customer reported requests assigned to the SAM Team. This individual also contributes to various projects and compliance initiatives as assigned and follows procedures as instructed to preform duties.
This individual serves as liaison between project teams, coordinates with IT areas/groups, ancillary IT employees and co-workers to solve problem and provide solutions and improve processes.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
"Perform day-to-day purchase request operations in support of the Hospital Asset Management Program.Analyze purchase records and other entitlement information (including contracts, EULAs, EAs, etc.) and make sound decisions based on provided information.Assist in managing Hospital software portals. Assist in deploying an enterprise wide ITAM program.Collect and manage ITAM information from customers, vendors, and manufacturers.Understands product use rights, license allowances, and contractual entitlements for software/hardware products.Maintain software and hardware asset records, contracts, maintenance agreements and associated relationships into the IT asset repository.Support Hospital ITAM project management activities.Ensure all changes to vendor agreements are accurately reflected in and updated in the Hospital software solution.Ensuring that software license contracts and agreements, software licenses and software installations and associated linkages are reflected correctly in the ITAM / Software Asset Management platform repository.Provide technical support to ensure records are linked to the correct software asset.Support analysis of new or modified software agreements and/or maintenance contracts and identify impact to compliance.Understand current utilization and installation ITAM/ITIL processes.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
