Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Leader to drive the design, development, and integration of software solutions interfacing with the Generic Timer Module (GTM) for Power Electronics applications. This role requires expertise in software architecture, development, and debugging using C and GTM/MCS assembly language, while ensuring reusability and compliance with industry best practices. The Technical Leader will collaborate with internal teams (Systems, Electrical Engineering, Software Integration) and end customers to define and document software requirements, establish Timer requirements & strategies, and enhance software architectures. Additionally, the role involves mentoring engineers, ensuring alignment with CI/CD DevOps strategies, and optimizing development processes. Assists PDS program teams with technical support and best practices for tool integration to DevOps. Meets the department's cost and quality goals.

Key Responsibility:

Design and develop GTM-based software for PDS applications, ensuring reusability across projects.Write software in C and GTM/MCS (Micro Channel Sequencer) assembly language while ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards.Develop and maintain common software architecture, incorporating GTM4/new any Timer module strategies for scalability and performance.Write detailed documentation describing software algorithms and implementation.Collaborate with internal teams and end customers to define, document, and analyze software requirements before design and implementation.Interface with program teams to support software integration and requirement development.Ensure traceability from software requirements through test cases.Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate software functionality.Assist in debugging software using structured problem-solving techniques, including bench debugging.

      Work Experience/Skills:

   

Minimum 6 to 10 years’ experience of DevOps, preferably in Automotive or Embedded Software development domain.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics and Communication or Automotive Electronics domain.Expertise in Embedded SW development using C language.Hands-on experience with 16 & 32 bit microcontrollers and ASICs ( IFX, NXP controllers preferred.)Strong ability to comprehend microcontroller hardware and associated schematics Expertise in cross compilers and debuggers like Lauterbach Good experience in setting up SW build environment to generate various target-based product files – make, link Hands on experience with build tools like MAKE/CMAKEGood hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management Tools like Git/github.Managed requirements engineering using Polarion ALM, ensuring traceability from requirements to test cases.Experience working and knowledge of Functional safety concepts.Ability to technically lead a small team of engineers to meet the scope, quality and schedule of the agreed project.   Experience bringing integrated software/hardware products from the early development phase to production.Strong coding skills in Perl, Python, Makefile, Shell script, or other industry-standard scripting languages will be an add on.
