Shape your journey onboard and offshore with us

We are looking for an experienced embedded software developer who is passionate about creating high-performance and innovative solutions for MacGregor world leading shipboard cranes. As a software designer, you will be part of the R&D team and your role will include development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, software design, verification and support

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

Working in all product development phases from pre-study to end of life:

 

 

System Design Develop and maintain software components Simulation, scripting and tool automation for software verification.

 

Cooperation with other disciplines, such as

 

Electrical and hydraulic Design R&D-testing Sourcing and supply chain Suppliers

Drive continuous improvements of products and processes

What you’ll need to succeed?

 

To be successful in this position, we believe you have the following background 
 

Master's or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or related field  Good knowledge about C/C++  Experience with IEC programming languages is an advantage Experienced with embedded systems and agile development Passionate about coding and software development Flexible and problem solving with analytical qualities Adapt easily to new techniques and keen to increase knowledge As the position will have many internal and external contacts, good communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English is important Experience of functional safety, machine vision or simulation modelling is an advantage.
