Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to work with the development team and with Technical Lead to be responsible for creating applications used to process high volumes of customer-supplied data and pre-composed components into documents. The developer will work on integrations with a variety of third-party document composition systems, data cleansing and validation systems, and ERP systems. This job typically solves the most complex technical challenges and will have high visibility.
This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Your Responsibilities:
Designs and creates software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customersCreates test plans and unit tests and executes those for applicationsReviews test plans for less experienced staff to ensure coverage and completenessFollows code review and testing processes, procedures, and plansWrite documentation in code and in issue tracking systems that supports other team membersResearches, evaluates and recommends software components and third-party programsMaintains, fixes and enhances existing software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customersRe-engineers and re-platforms as well as takes on the most complex enhancements for existing applicationsEvaluates and architects solutions for high volume processing efficiencyRecommends 3rd party development tool sets to increase productivity of the teamProduces clean, efficient code based on coding standardsFollows safe data handling practices and processesFollows secure coding practicesEstablishes and follows Quality guidelines and proceduresPerforms work in a timely mannerCommunicates status to stakeholdersWorks under minimal supervision and has a fair amount of autonomy in work activitiesWill be assigned the most challenging, high profile projects and aggressive development schedulesResponsible for mentoring less experienced staffRecommends coding and documentation standards and processes to enhance and improve the development process and environmentExpected to understand the business needs and prioritiesOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead or managerOff hours and on call duties as necessaryYou Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience required6+ years experience in software developmentExperience with the following technologies: C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Entity Framework, ASP.
