Acer is seeking a Software Developer (Bilingual - English/Mandarin) at our North American HQ here in San Jose. The role will be responsible for deployment throughout all Software Development lifecycles. These responsibilities include understanding software requirements, design, build, and implementation of production systems.
Job Responsibility
• Develop, test, and debug software using current software technologies and development lifecycle best practices.
• Perform code scans to identify any potential security vulnerabilities.
• Performs functional developer testing of the code produced.
• Participates in feature definition, architecture, and design discussions and provides input.
• Capable of understanding the impact of the proposed change on broader component design
• Perform root cause investigations of issues reported by the user community. Develop action plans to address such issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 3-4 years of related experience or Associate's Degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in PHP
• Familiar with Microsoft .NET Core technology framework and object-oriented programming concepts
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of Visual Studio
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, C#, and CSS
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Knowledge of application development security best practices
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong, effective troubleshooting skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Ability to manage priorities effectively to drive multiple projects forward in parallel as necessary
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
