**Introduction** DataPower Gateway is a purpose-built, easy-to-deploy product available on-prem, virtual, docker and cloud environments, which simplifies, secures, transforms and optimizes access to web, mobile and application programming interface (API) workloads. Additionally, the product provides runtime gateway functionality for API management on-prem and in cloud environments. IBM Cloud DataPower Gateway Security team is responsible for development and maintenance of security and crypto features/functions. These include Authentication, Authorization, Encryption and Decryption technologies like OAuth, OpenSSL, TLS, XML Encryption, OpenID Connect, PKI/PKIX certificate management, Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), Kerberos, SAML, LTPA etc. Software Developers in this role use functional specifications and detailed design documents to implement the security components. They ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. They also provide fixes to defects and security vulnerabilities identified by the test team and/or security scans, during the software development life cycle. **Your role and responsibilities** As a key member of our dynamic Datapower team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features, fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance, and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you'll be working closely with fellow developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations. **Required technical and professional expertise** 5-8 years of experience. Programming efficiency : Must have good programming skills in C/C++, Rust, XSLT, JavaScript Demonstrated development and debugging skills within a Linux environment are preferred. Knowledge of network security technologies like OAuth 2.0, OpenSSL/TLS, Kerberos, LDAP, OpenID Connect, PKI/PKIX certificate management, Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and other authentication, authorization and encryption security protocols, is preferred. Candidate must have demonstrated technical and teamwork skills.
