**Introduction** We are seeking a skilled Cloud DevSecOps engineer to join our IBM MQ Software as a Service team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for building, testing, maintaining and securing a SaaS service on a variety of hyperscalers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in secure DevOps practices, cloud technologies, container orchestration, continuous integration, and deployment. You will be responsible for managing Security, Compliance and Operational activities, identifying opportunities to enhance security and compliance practices within our operating procedures, solution design and delivery, maintaining and enhancing security and compliance aspects of our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our services. The role requires a good level of personal organisation and the ability to work well within a distributed global team in a fast paced and exciting environment. The MQ SaaS team employs agile development practices with all team members actively engaged in the planning, development, testing and usability related tasks owned and delivered by their 'Delivery Team'. Preferred candidates will be enthusiastic, highly motivated team players who have cloud software skills/experience and demonstrate a genuine desire and aptitude to perform the multi-disciplinary activities inherent in a DevSecOps role. Knowledge of continuous delivery techniques is important to ensure the stability of a live service. Successful candidate will be proficient in Agile Delivery practices and passionate about delivering on team objectives and sprint goals. Candidates should also be comfortable working as part of a global team and possess good verbal & written communication skills. Responsibility of building, testing and maintaining a SaaS service. Responsible for creating a UI for an MCSP based SaaS service. Knowledge of continuous delivery techniques are important to ensure the stability of a live service. Model Agile practices and deliver on squad objectives and sprint goals. A successful individual for this role should possess: * Good knowledge of cloud technologies including networking and security *Good knowledge on front end technologies and back end technologies and proven track record * A strong technical background in using development tools such as Git, VS Code, make etc. * Strong analytical and problem solving expertise, with the ability to investigate issues and apply fixes throughout the development lifecycle. * Experience in applying Cloud Engineering practices to enable Continuous Delivery. * Ability to take ownership of tasks, proactively driving them to their completion. * Automation skills in testing, scripting (e.g. Bash), pipelines, and utilities. * Experience in monitoring and alerting. * A strong background in applying Security and Privacy by Design principles through the development and delivery lifecycle. **Required technical and professional expertise** *7-12 years experience in Software development and and Full stack development. * Technical expertise in building, deploying and running applications in a Cloud environment such as AWS. * Strong proficiency with Kubernetes/OpenShift and container orchestration . * Familiarity with Docker, Istio, and other container technologies. * Development skills in Golang, Java, Java script, Angular/React, MCSP UI integration etc. to deliver robust and scalable solutions. * Management of version control and collaboration using Git and GitHub. * Strong scripting experience, e.g. bash. * Experience in utilising Helm charts for packaging and deploying containerised applications. * Ability to implement and maintain GitOps workflows using FluxCD/ArgoCD. * Knowledge of Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure. * Experience in applying secure development practices. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * 5+ years experience in cloud engineering and full stack development * Proficient in agile development methodologies and tools * Experience in software development , problem solving & diagnosis * Passion to code development, solve complex engineering problems and help customers * Ability to pickup product and technical skills quickly and become productive at the earliest * Demonstrable coding skills, detail oriented thinking, and creative problem solving skills
