References Visible links 1. https://www.ibm.com/products/cloud-pak-for-data 2. https://www.ibm.com/products/watsonx-data **Your role and responsibilities** * As a Backend developer you will be responsible for development/ maintenance/ support of the services you develop through the full systems development lifecycle. * Participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems * You will work with the Product Architects, Product Managers to understand various priorities and work towards the execution. * Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members. * Participate in, and adhere to, professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and source code management. * Ensure good code coverage. Support bug fixes during testing and deploy to target environments. * Participate in the planning, creation and execution of automated test cases and load/performance testing. Create/maintain technical documentation. * You will be providing vigilance and compliance to various software engineering, support and release processes e.g security, stack upgrades that are free of vulnerabilities etc. **Required technical and professional expertise** 🌟 Proficient in Java. 🌟 Profficient in the use command line shells. 🌟 Strong grounding in an engineer or mathematical rich discipline **Preferred technical and professional experience** 🌟 Experience with algorithms, data structures, GenerativeAI/LLMs. 🌟 Familiarity with test automation frameworks 🌟 Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices. 🌟 Cloud technologies (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure etc) 🌟Experience in SQL, C/C++, Go Lang, python development and various scripting languages. 🌟Expertise in Core Java, Java J2EE , MicroServices Architecture. 🌟Experience in federated data technologies like Gaian Db  a distinct advantage. 🌟Experience in connectivity and ETL from multiple data sources desirable. 🌟Experience of distributed / HPC computing 🌟Experience of BigData & Hadoop software stack: HDFS, Hive, HBase, Ambari 🌟Experience developing compilers and / or RDBMs  🌟Experience in system & low level programming (TCP/IP, multi-threading, IPC) on the Linux platform 🌟Experience working in a globally distributed product based engineering team 🌟Hands on experience in handling and debugging customer issues, work with L2 support team.
