GovCIO has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer (Front-End) to assume a key role on our team at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. This role will support the objectives of the Surgeon General and Defense Health Agency (DHA) principles within Resource Management (RM) Department. The RM provides enduring and adaptable internal business solutions across the DHA. This role will operate on a hybrid schedule with one to two (1-2) telework days a week and the rest of the time on site.
Responsibilities Build and code applications, provide bug fixes and enhancements to existing systems, and ensure software compliance standards are met Use a variety of programming languages, including C#, JavaScript, VueJs, React, and HTML to design, develop, and maintain complex software applications Understand proprietary platform that enables organizations to digitally transform their business processes through portals, dashboards, and workflowsAnalyze detailed system factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolutionParticipate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specificationsWrite and revise program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in accordance with standardsDesign and develop front-end user interfaces (GUI) to meet the specific needs of usersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software applications meet business requirements and are delivered on timeEnsure software compliance standards are met, including security, accessibility, and usabilityTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software applicationsDevelop responsive and mobile-first designs that work across multiple devices and platforms.Create interactive and engaging user experiences, using modern front-end technologies and techniques.Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the user experienceWork closely with back-end developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.Participate in agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.Collaborate with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects QualificationsHigh School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
Due to work must be a US citizen.Clearance Required: NoneSecurity + certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireStrong background in front-end development (e.g., VueJS or React), with expertise in creating graphical user interfaces (GUI) and designing user-centered applications8-10 + years’ experience with Web and mobile applications development using C# and .NETAdvanced experience with several of the following technologies: C#, ASP.net, SQL, Node, DevExtreme, VueJS , JavaScript, JSON, Bootstrap 4, MVC5, Git, and Web API architecture and responsive web designKnowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and test-driven developmentKnowledge and experience of relational database schemas including in SQLProficient in the use of Microsoft Visual Studio 2019+, Visual Studio Code, and GitFamiliar with DISA Application STIG’s and secure coding principles with regards to application development within the DoD environmentExperience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR)Communication and organizational skills, along with a problem-solving attitude
Preferred Skills and Experience
