Job Title: Software Developer in Test
Job Description

Join our dynamic Software Operations team responsible for Quality, DevOps, Tooling, and Equipment. As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will play a crucial role in expanding and maintaining our existing Automation Test Framework. You will collaborate with product developers to ensure the testability of software features, plan test coverage, and implement new framework capabilities.

ResponsibilitiesOwn the Automation Test framework and develop the Test API for test script writing.Develop test plans based on functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.Analyze test script results, identify defects, and file bug reports.Maintain and update test automation and continuous integration scripts.Design and develop test tools to support the team's development efforts.Execute manual tests and continually expand automated test coverage.Maintain and calibrate automation equipment used for testing.Proactively contribute to and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a software test engineer.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar disciplines.Experience testing embedded devices.Proficiency with Python.Experience with C++ and C.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.Experience developing automation test frameworks.DevOps experience.Knowledge and experience in planning tests, defining test scope, and providing full coverage for a product.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge on Metrology is an asset.Experience with source control management systems such as Git or SVN.Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Work Environment

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting software development to enhance efficiency. The role involves working with CI/CD infrastructure, developing software tools, and performing various testing, data collection, and analysis tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

This is a hybrid position in Burnaby,BC.
