We are seeking a Rocket UniVerse Engineer to lead the replatforming and modernization of our mission-critical systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation in UniVerse and experience with AI-enabled code generation tooling to accelerate transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will also drive DevOps enablement, process improvements, and cloud architecture design on AWS, while ensuring PCI-compliant security practices.

We seek a technical leader and change agent – someone who challenges legacy constraints, embraces AI-driven automation, and drives DevOps cultural shifts. You should be comfortable working at the intersection of legacy UniVerse systems and cutting-edge modernization efforts, influencing both architecture and engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the replatforming of Rocket UniVerse applications, modernizing architecture for scalability and maintainability. Design and implement AI-driven code generation solutions to accelerate development, refactoring, and migration processes. Enable DevOps transformation, introducing CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and modern development workflows. Architect and implement secure, scalable solutions in AWS, ensuring best practices for cloud-native deployments and hybrid environments. Develop RESTful APIs and modern data integration strategies for UniVerse, using tools like UniObjects, UniVerse Dynamic Objects (UDO), and Rocket Web Services. Optimize UniVerse file structures, indexing, and query performance to improve application efficiency. Ensure PCI compliance by designing secure authentication, encryption, and audit logging mechanisms. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business teams to advocate for modernization initiatives. Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
