Responsibilities:

 

The Software Developer III will develop instruments, applications, and cloud services that help scientists in universities and research labs perform important biological research. Specific job duties include:

 

Design and implement new software features to assist with existing and upcoming projects;Meet with internal and external scientists to understand their workflows and develop software solutions that meet their needs;Collaborate with other software developers to write software in C++ (Qt Framework), and Javascript (React); andHelp produce both internal and user-facing documentation for software products and applications, including documentation that meets regulatory requirements when applicable.

 

Telecommuting is available.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

Employer requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and two (2) years of work experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, or a closely related occupation. In addition, employer requires:

 

Demonstrated ability working throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) gained through two (2) years of work experience;Demonstrated ability utilizing object-oriented design principles gained through two (2) years of work experience; Demonstrated ability building and deploying software applications while using JavaScript and React gained through two (2) years of work experience; and Demonstrated ability performing requirements gathering gained through two (2) years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
