What You'll Do

As a Development Architect, you will work with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers and Quality Engineers in an agile scrum environment to accelerate innovations for Supply Chain Collaboration and expand the SAP Business Network. 

You will have the opportunity to work on complex business problems and build solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform with Java, SAP CAP/CDS, SAP Fiori Elements, SAP UI5, and SAP HANA. To succeed in this position, you must be able to:

Provide technical leadership for key component areas of the largest business network in the cloud (think 24x7x365, millions of users, terabytes of data) Have high standards on usability, scalability, resiliency, and security and hold the same standards for fellow engineers. Demonstrate strong technical, business, and methodological leadership. Internalize business requirements and solve them with beautifully engineered solutions. Take initiatives and drive topics to resolution. Mentor junior and senior developers and help the team succeed. Specific Responsibilities Build and deliver Supply Chain Collaboration features using Agile and Scrum development methodologies. Participate in each stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (analyze, design, implement, test, deploy and maintain) and take full ownership and responsibility of your work. Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members in different time zones. Review and refine functional requirements, author and review design specifications, review and approve pull requests, etc. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on demand.

 

What You Bring

Bachelor's in computer science or engineering, Master’s preferred 10+ years of development experience developing and maintaining production grade software (5+ years for Master’s) 5+ years working on cloud-based or on-demand software solutions. Excellent OOD, Java, and SQL skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Experience with REST/XML/JSON, Kafka, Spring Boot, Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Experience working with Unix/Linux environments. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. Experience with SAP products and technologies preferred, e.g. BTP, CAP/CDS, Fiori Elements/UI5, Kyma, HANA, S/4HANA, etc. Domain knowledge in Supply Chain preferred
