The Amazon Robotics - Manipulation organization stands at the leading edge of automation, revolutionizing how packages and individual items are handled in our fulfillment centers. From scaling innovative solutions like Robin, which surpassed 5 billion sorted packages this year, to tackling intricate challenges like cart packing and precision item picking from cluttered totes, we’re shaping the future of logistics. We’re searching for a Software Development Engineer driven by a passion for solving complex technical problems and pushing the boundaries of innovation. In this role, you’ll design and build sophisticated systems and components, seamlessly operating at the edge and in the cloud. You’ll collaborate with customers and engineers across diverse teams, making an impact at scale while redefining what’s possible in robotics automation.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy solutions that are high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, efficient, well documented etc.) and incorporate best practices.
- Focus on operational excellence for our Tier-1 services, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve architecture, making it better and easier to maintain.
- Design, implement, and support edge micro-services and web-services
- Mentor other engineers, influence positively team culture, and help grow the team.
