Summary of the role

Amadeus Airlines Operations teams are looking for Excellent Engineering Development Managers.

You will be responsible for managing the development of big data solutions, manage production environments and create a strong engineering team with very high competency in mission critical enterprise applications.  You’ll be joining one of the world’s top 10 software to power better journeys

Your main responsibilities

You will work in agile teams who will build products which redefines the way airline operates in the airport to solve customer pain points, improve operational efficiency, benchmark against competition and take the right decisions. 

You will work closely with other architects, development managers and developers to architect and design the best technical designs and deliver very high-quality code. 

A key part of your responsibility would also be to provide technical leadership and you should be willing to roll up your sleeves as and when required and code, provide technical guidance to team.

You will be accountable to ensure near zero production downtime time for Departure Control Systems by continuously identifying and running improvement initiatives to ensure stability, improved the quality of technology deliverables, improve efficiency and productivity of the team

You will drive planning, project execution and development of technical talent.

About the ideal candidate

BTech or MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).9-15 years of relevant work experience, including large systems software design and development, with designing, developing and debugging experience in C++.Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++ usage of standard C++ library components (Boost/STL). Strong technical skills with hands on experience in architecting and leading teams building enterprise productsStrong Experience in working with Database (Oracle, MySQL)Excellent problem-solving skillsExpertise in Algorithms & Data structures with strong Computer Science fundamentalsHands-on technical expertise in large-scale UNIX systems engineering, building complex distributed systemsExperience in Object Oriented Analysis & DesignA solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.Prior experience in working with Agile software methodologies (XP, Scrum)
