POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Redmond-based client is looking for a Software Development Engineer for a Hybrid based position in Redmond, WA.
We are looking for a Research Software Engineer who is passionate about developing new systems and transforming the latest machine learning models from concepts into reality. In this role you will drive the development of infrastructure for supporting demonstrations and evaluation of Embodied AI systems. This includes creating pipelines for collecting data, running benchmarks, and evaluating embodied AI algorithms. You will be integrating robot systems such as perception, planning, and navigation algorithms into simulation and hardware platforms.
Responsibilities Develop tools to provide fast deployment of novel algorithms in simulation and on hardware.Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworksEvaluate the performance of novel algorithms on state-of-the-art robotic platformsManage the integration of third-party repositories.Run and maintain existing machine learning models.Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applicationsStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and related fields.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Qualifications Must have expertise with C++ and Python build and software integration tools (Bazel, CMake, make, etc…)Must have 2+ years’ experience with Linux.Must have 2+ years’ experience with Configuration management.Must have proficiency in Python, C++, or similar and at least one deep learning library such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, etc.Comfortable working with a broad range of continuous integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity…) and deployment tools (Ansible…)Mastery of Linux, Docker and microservices architectureShould have familiar with Agile and Test-driven development principlesMust have experience with robotic frameworks such as ROS/ROS2Must have bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience (e.g., robot systems integration or field robotics research)Should have experience performing robotics-focused software product development in simulation, laboratory, and field experimentsShould have expertise in data science, algorithms, and software support for mobile (multi-) robot autonomy/AI behaviors, perception, navigation, and networking in different environments (e.g., aerial, maritime, or ground)

A competitive pay range of $70/hr- $71/hr (depending on experience).15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).9 paid holidays per year (which includes 1 personal floating holiday). 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
