Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
CICD Team at Kuiper: Hardware in the Loop Testing Infrastructure using IOT
The CICD team at Kuiper is responsible for building and developing a central test infrastructure service that supports Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing.
Responsibilities:
1. System Design & Backend Services:
- Architect and develop backend services to support HIL testing.
- Implement scalable and flexible solutions for distributed systems and software deployment.
2. Container Management & AWS Infrastructure:
- Manage Docker containers to deploy services both locally and in the cloud.
- Work with a variety of AWS services, including: DynamoDB, IAM roles & permission management,Lambdas,EC2 instances,CloudWatch, MQTT,API Gateways
3. Support for Internal Teams:
- Provide internal teams with both Local and Cloud-based service instances to execute Pytest and report results via a UI.
4. Collaborative Development:
- Participate in all phases of software development, from design to implementation.
- Work with embedded software teams to ensure smooth integration with low-level systems.
5. Required Skills:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one language (Python, GoLang).
- AWS Infrastructure Expertise: Advanced knowledge of the AWS stack (as listed above).
- Problem Solving: Ability to navigate high levels of ambiguity, design flexible solutions, and deliver results.
5. Desired Traits:
- Collaborative: Able to work effectively in an open, cross-functional environment.
- Scalable System Design: Experience architecting solutions that can scale and handle complex use cases (particularly in satellite software distribution).
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
