JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Backend engineer, you will work with an agile Product team within the BI Analytics & Strategy group to create and deliver next generation AI driven data products which provide insights and analytics to business stakeholders. This role requires you to have hands-on experience in Node.js, Python, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git and at least one data warehouse. You will also play an advisory role for defining technical solutions that meet product requirements and allow for future enhancements with limited rework.

As a core technical contributor, you should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team in the design and development of applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technology experience and is knowledgeable of emerging technologies/industry trends and applies them into day to day development activities.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilitie

Design and develop secure and robust APIs to support mobile, desktop and TV applications.Identify and implement solutions for optimizing APIs for speed and stability. Engage and work with front end engineers for integrating and configuring code for client side utilization.Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of applications and systems.Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testingActively engages ,debugs and deploys bug fixes in the Production environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications

At least 3 years of full-stack technology experience required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

Proven experience in design and implementation of web APIsMust have proficiency in Node.js , Python and SQLMust have experience in test automation using tools like PostmanExperience with front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, Typescript, React.js)Experience working with at least one of the popular data warehouses (e.g. AWS Redshift,Snowflake)Hands-on experience with code management and deployment tools like Git and Jenkins.Experience developing web & mobile applications.Experience in performance debugging and benchmarking

Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies

Technical Knowledge:

In depth conceptual understanding of building , testing and maintaining APIs.Good understanding of SDLC to support complex data oriented and UI driven productsUnderstanding of quality monitoring tools and frameworks.Understanding of DevOps frameworks and best practices

Problem Solving & Decision Making:

Demonstrates advanced analytical and diagnostic skills while dealing with issues that are novel and not readily defined.Able to develop solutions or is able to create new approaches to leverage technology fromabstract information.Sees the big picture and is fully aware of technology and business directions.Optimizes the use of all available technical resources.
