Job Title: Software Development Engineer Test II

USCS’s is a leading provider of 3rd party logistics solutions. The Center of Digital Excellence or CoDE is the technology arm of USCS, and we are on a mission to deliver custom software solutions to enable the efficient automated operations at our cold storage facilities. Our next generation warehouse management system directs effective operations at our facilities, interfaces with control systems of autonomous vehicles and autonomous storage/retrieval systems, automates electronic transactions with our partners, and interfaces with off-the-shelf transportation and labor management systems.

The Job Details:

We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer Test II with experience working as part of a software engineering team writing automated testing suites covering functionality developed during our SDLC process. Automated tests are required to satisfy the definition of done in each of our agile sprint deliverables. You will be an essential and integrated part of the CoDE engineering team. You are expected to be someone with hands on experience analyzing functional requirements, contributing to engineering design from a testability perspective, writing acceptance criteria, automated test cases and managing test suites. You will report to the QA Manager in this role. Some of the things expected from you include the following:

3+ years of practical experience as an automation test engineer are required; building test suites with Java and Selenium WebDriver is preferred; cucumber BDD is a plus. Must have strong knowledge and experience of Page Object Model frameworks. Must have strong understanding of test automation design and methodologies utilizing best practices. Must be capable of establishing acceptance criteria for manual testing and test automation strategies based functional requirements. Must have strong knowledge and experience with version control. Must have experience in RESTful API testing. Experience with Databases and SQL is a plus. Experience with continuous integration systems – preferably Jenkins is a plus. Experience working effectively with remote and internal development teams. Experience with non-functional (performance, latency, failover, etc.) testing.

Qualifications:

Education:

BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering Discipline or equivalent on the job experience.

Skills:

Experience managing test lifecycle using TestRails or equivalent. Deep knowledge of Selenium or similar web testing tools. Hands on experience with core Java. Hands on experience with various automation frameworks for REST backend and Angular frontend validation. Experience with version control (Git). Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA). Experience in Supply Chain Logistics is a plus. Experience in development of Warehouse Management systems is a plus. Experience with JMeter/Load Runner. Experience with JUnit/TestNG. Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools. Ability to analyze complex problems in large systems. Ability to investigate errors in log files and identify the culprit and root cause. Ability to work with in house team and offshore team.
