The Claims IT team within P&C IT Services is seeking a Java and JavaScript development Intern to join the team for the summer 2025.
The intern will work closely with a full stack development team building web apps and microservices for the insurance industry.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop code for web apps and microservicesMaintaining and upgrading existing codebaseDesigning and developing APIsIdentify and fix bugsDeveloping front-end UI using existing design patternsWriting efficient, reusable, and reliable codeCalibrating with Product team and business partners defining requirementsQualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPrevious experience with Java, Springboot, and JavaScriptStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with PrimeVue or another front end library a plusFamiliarity with IntelliJ a plusUnderstanding of Test Driven Design patternsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with the insurance industry is a plusDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesEducation:
