Software Development Intern Summer 2025 (CMH Health)

Milliman’s CMH Health Practice is looking for motivated college students pursuing a degree in mathematics or computer science to join our dynamic Health IT team at our Milwaukee, WI office. Engage directly in the development, testing, and documentation of innovative software applications. This role is crucial in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our healthcare products.

 Job Responsibilities

Develop and refine software under direct guidance to streamline healthcare services. Lead robust testing phases for innovative applications, ensuring peak performance. Spearhead documentation efforts, encapsulating critical information for end-users. Engage in the strategic promotion of new products, directly contributing to market success. Undertake diverse projects, always with a focus on advancing healthcare technology.

Minimum Requirements

Current college undergraduate or graduate student. Ability to work full-time from the beginning of June to mid-August. Strong inclination towards mathematics and computer science.  Analytical prowess and organizational mastery.  Clear and concise communication skills. Commitment to punctuality and reliability.  A collaborative spirit with a proactive outlook. 

Competencies and Behaviors that Support Success in this Role

Experience with computer programming and web development. Those with real-world side projects preferred.  Fast and hungry learner willing to jump into new languages and technologies.  Critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability, and both the ability and willingness to clearly articulate your ideas.  Independent and autonomous: Clear goals will be set, but the path to achieving them is yours to define.  Strong self-learner with initiative who judiciously seeks clarity when needed.  Exceptional pattern of progress.  Familiarity with GitHub CoPilot or other code assistance tools.

Location: This is an on-site position at our Milwaukee, WI office located in Brookfield, WI.
