Software Development Manager, , Network Operations Automation
It's no secret that AWS relies on its technology to monitor and manage the largest global infrastructure network on Earth. The Network Impact Reduction organization builds complex software solutions that ensure the AWS work is always available and performant so AWS customers can grow at the speed of business. Our software innovations provide continuous monitoring, management, visualization, auto-remediation, and incident management services for the millions of devices that compose the AWS Network.

The AWS Network Impact Reduction team is looking for a technically-skilled Software Development Manager to join our team. In this role you will lead a team of talented software engineers responsible for enabling our customers (Network Operations) to automate their operations to reduce manual effort on the mitigation and remediation of network incidents.

Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of large projects across multiple teams and organizations, writing technical specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch of major features.

The right candidate will possess a strong technical leadership background, and will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large scale projects. You must have practical experience designing, coding, and launching critical business software using modern programming paradigms. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done.
