Software Development Manager, Amazon Robotics
Are you excited about building fully autonomous robots that can work and learn in complex environments? The Amazon Robotics is creating new products and technologies that make this possible, at Amazon scale.

The Robotic Manipulation organization is looking for a software development manager who can continue to advance the state-of-the art in our domain. Your team will be responsible for doing the basic research to unlock new abilities, bringing those advancements to production, optimizing them for speed and stability, and building the supporting web services. Our work spans real-time software, machine learning engineering, big data, simulation, and more.

We are a team that launched the first large-scale Robotic Manipulation capability in 2020 (Robin). The solution has now scaled to a fleet of >1300 and has shipped >3B packages. No comparable solutions exist in the world. We have followed it up with newer robots (Cardinal and Sparrow). It's time to scale up to many more types of work, types of robot and even larger fleets of robots to continue to scale our supply chain.

We have come a long way in demonstrating the viability of Robotics at scale but we are still very early in the journey of transforming Amazon Fulfillment and the world. If you are passionate about shaping the future then this is the right opportunity for you.
