The GEIST organization supports a vast portfolio of buildings within the Amazon network and the build out standards and designs. We are seeking a dynamic Software Development Manager with spirit to help lead a team of software engineers to the next level. In this role, you will focus on product roadmap execution and opportunities to help identify best-in-class solutions to automate and standardize how our engineers operate when launching new buildings for Amazon. This role helps to support both technical and non-technical teams, allowing for holistic exposure to the Amazon business.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of teams and customers, have a track record of on-time delivery of large-scale projects, and have the ability to operate independently and autonomously. They will have the opportunity to build, scale, and shape the direction of this business. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and strong business judgment. You will be responsible for services that can be deployed globally, delivering an exceptional customer experience, provide thought leadership in a fast-paced development environment, and partner with product management and senior leaders to ensure the success of this program.



Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will own setting the vision, strategy, roadmap, multi-year plans, execution and delivery of a large product suite and eventual ERP system. You will need to understand and work backwards from the GES org's needs of real-time intelligence, build solutions with long-term focus. You will need to work with stakeholders, globally, and shape the direction of future capabilities for GES. As you build towards the future, you need to raise the bar on systems, services, processes and scale for the needs for your customers and business. This will involve setting technical vision, scaling architecture, reducing tech debt, and raising the bar in OE and delivery. As leader you will hire, develop, coach and create a culture of inclusion, ownership, customer and delivery focus.


About the team
The GEIST team serves as the software solution team to all Global Engineering needs, working with its customers to set a consolidated Tech strategy, and prioritizing investments to best serve their needs and our bottom line. The GEIST team is responsible for the sustainment of a large product suite ranging from Planning & Forecasting applications to robust in-flight management of field execution users. These sytems are leveraged by both internal and external users around the globe.
