As a Software Development manager, you will identify, hire and build cross geography teams of Software Engineers to define, drive and execute on this vision. You will initiate processes that allow the team to collaborate with local as well as global teams with a high degree of efficiency. This role will lead the software development for the core automation platform of the Transportation Engineering Systems team. The technology focuses on the automation and accuracy of consuming transportation network design inputs and converting them into configuration elements that define Amazon's transportation flows into core transportation technology systems.
You will develop teams of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate with Configuration Experts, Product Managers and Software Engineers across the company on this high impact initiative. You will design, build and own configuration automation and transportation plan generation products for our NA configuration and network planners.

TESS manages transportation network configuration by working with different internal stakeholders and systems, to deliver desired business outcomes. We work at the intersection of business and systems. This role will directly influence the decisions and strategy of TESS by gathering customer needs and insights and mining large and diverse data sets. This position will work with directly with business leaders and teams along with various stakeholders to track business goals and initiatives.
