This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team located in Pune, India. We are looking for a self-motivated Software Development Manager to lead and grow a highly talented team in the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions department, collaborate with stakeholders to create efficient, scalable, resilient, and performing data services to empower our customers need as well as grow the team continuously. As a Manager, you will be working with developers, QAs, Experience Design Architects and Product Managers to deliver top quality Cloud and Web experiences.
Responsibilities
Work with internal and external stakeholders including Product Managers, Experience Designers, Software Architectures, senior leadership, and scrum teams to translate business and technical needs into project delivery roadmap and actionable tasks.
Inspire and motivate the scrum team by painting a vision for both short and long term and recognizing development progress.
Recruit, coach, challenge, and reward high-performing individuals to help them achieve their full potential and career development.
Lead development and remove team obstacles, take ownership of key product features, and ensure to deliver within schedule and high quality.
Provide strong leadership in iteratively defining & refining development processes as your team grows to drive continuous improvement.
Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine best solutions, help drive alignment, and implement decisions throughout your team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
3+ years of software engineering management experience using agile on Enterprise SaaS applications.
10+ years building large scale backend services using AWS, Java, Spring Boot, MySQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, accountable with a strong understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile development practices/tooling and a broad knowledge of full software development lifecycle.
An active listener with the strong interpersonal skills needed and open mind to work with various stakeholders
An excellent communicator, both in written and verbal form, with the ability to present to large audiences and lead group activities
A strong mentor with proven record of making your team success and better.
A multitasker capable of prioritizing and managing your time and multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, results-oriented environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Managers of Professional roles – and/or managers of people that manage Support roles.
Manages work for medium size team, or multiple small teams and achieves results by directing work through supervisors/team leads and professional employees.
Typically focused on areas of subject matter expertise within one discipline.
Keep their teams organized, efficient, effective, productive, and motivated through professional leadership techniques.
Responsible for managing deliverables against expected results with a timeline that is typically longer than a quarter.
Focus is more operational, and decisions are typically made within established policies, procedures and objectives.
