This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team located in Pune, India. We are seeking a Software Development Manager to join the Fusion Modelling team within our Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. In this role, you will lead a Pune-based scrum team and help fulfil our mission to deliver the best software for our users CAD, CAM, CAE and PCB needs in a single, integrated cloud software platform. You will be working with Software Engineers, Architects, Quality Assurance, Experience Design, and Product Managers to deliver top quality experiences for our users. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and hands-on experience in building a modern CAD application, knowledge of modern engineering best practices, and will excel in building relationships and providing support for our growing team of engineers. You should be comfortable in an Agile environment, liaising with colleagues from around the world, and most importantly, becoming a trusted partner and inspiring your team to achieve great things.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a high-performing scrum team, fostering their growth and inspiring innovation and operational excellence

Inspire an open and trusting culture and provide your team with the tools and motivation to thrive

Help remove team obstacles and empower your team to deliver on schedule with confidence and high quality

Mentor, challenge, and reward high-performing individuals to help them achieve their full potential and career development

Collaborate in technical and architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-making

Regularly communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, product owners, and product managers

Navigating escalations and acting as a bridge between different engineering teams

Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine best solutions, help drive alignment, and implement decisions throughout your team

Collaborate with teams overseas and execute projects with many dependencies 

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field

Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive and influence product and technical strategy

8+ years of experience in C++

Ability to drive high technical standards, accounting for performance and reliability

Experience in working with distributed teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proactive, accountable with a strong understanding of Agile development practices and a broad knowledge of full software development lifecycle

Familiarity and/or experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools 

Knowledge of task management systems such as JIRA

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
